A leading innovator of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display technology announced today that it will debut the world's highest resolution 14.3-inch flexible color E-paper display next week.
Sony has now come up with their next generation 'electronic paper' display - PRS-505 which delivers an even faster response and contrast ratio, making it easier for getting stuck into a good read on bright sunny days due to its electrophoretic display.
Microencapsulated electrophoretic ink displays are now in volume production. For example, E ink FPL is being coated in Roll to roll (R2R) production kilometers at a time, segmented displays on plastic substrates are in volume production and glass TFT displays are in volume production.
