Soligie Expands to Meet Growing Demand

Soligie Expands to Meet Growing Demand
Soligie is an integrated printed electronic solutions company. It recently announced plans to open its new printed electronics manufacturing facility in Savage, Minnesota USA. Soligie continues to expand its capacity to meet the growing demand for integrated printed electronic solutions with the new 18,000-square-feet facility that is scheduled to be fully commissioned by the end of April 2007. A new, dedicated, multi-function, proprietary manufacturing line is being installed to meet the diverse requirements of the printed electronics industry. The manufacturing capabilities will include clean room conditions to be used when necessary.

(IDTechEx notes that Nanoident uses Class 100 clean rooms for its photo detector array printing whereas Add-Vision has a printed LEP display that does not require clean room assembly). In addition to the new manufacturing facility, Soligie will continue to use its existing manufacturing facility in Mankato, Minnesota USA.

Soligie recently signed an agreement with Thin Film Electronics of Sweden to help commercialise its thin film memory capability based on ferroelectric printed polymers. Xaar, the ink jet printing equipment company in the UK is also committed to assist. Soligie has a research agreement with University College Berkeley in California. http://www.soligie.com
