Printed organic lasers
The utility of these lasers is unclear because they currently require pumping by an external laser source to work. Scientists are trying to create printed organic lasers which do not require pumping.
Currently available printed organic lasers are:
- Cheap (might be cheap enough for single use).
- Variable wavelength
Even though these lasers must be pumped, perhaps they are already suitable as markers?
