Advanced Modular Solutions introduce state of art EL power supply
IRELAND - Advanced Modular Solutions Ltd. announces the release of SmartDRIVE™, its new range of intelligent EL power supplies.

After almost 4 years of intense research and development in the field of Electroluminescent Lighting (EL), Advanced Modular Solutions has introduced EL power supply technology that is 3-4 years ahead of the technology roadmap.

"The commercialization of large area EL lamps and displays has been significantly impeded by the lack of availability of suitable power sources specifically designed for driving EL. SmartDRIVE™ power supply technology is delivering the very first power supplies that have been designed exclusively with EL in mind" says Joe McClean, VP Sales & Marketing with Advanced Modular Solutions.

In addition to delivering ultra-high power conversion efficiency (>94%) and extremely low weight and size, SmartDRIVE™ incorporates state of the art intelligent control of light output from EL lamps. Features include; full brightness compensation, full remote control of light intensity and color temperature and additional accessories including dimmers, motion detectors, ambient light sensors and multi lamp/display controllers.

The SmartDRIVE™ line includes products capable of powering up to 65,000cm2 of EL. Mains input models are currently available but DC and PV models will also be released shortly.

"We're delighted to be a first mover and technology leader in the field of EL power sources as our pioneering design techniques will allow the mainstream commercialization of EL lighting", says Adrian Ward, Chief Technologist with Advanced Modular Solutions.
