Speaker Biography

Phil is an IC design project manager for Innovision Research & Technology plc specialising in management of RFID tag development including active UHF and passive HF devices. His achievements include establishing core technologies that Innovision is exploiting in its wider markets and the companies first IC design compliance team set up to evaluate and characterise the performance of Innovision ICs post- fabrication.
 
Phil has filed several patents and advised on the content of many others.
 
Phil has worked on leading edge communication and instrumentation systems and has managed multi million pound systems evaluation trials.
 
Phil has an honours degree in electrical and electronic engineering and is a Chartered Engineer. Phil's specialist areas are project management, security systems architecture; communications system integration and sensor systems design working as part of a customer focussed team.
 
Phil is committed to the development of engineers to maximise their potential and his professional reputation is acknowledged through his contribution to international seminars, and centres of learning. Phil and has been the chairman of the IEE Commercial Awareness for Engineers course for 2 years and has lectured on innovation and invention at Reading University.
