RFID innovates retailers value

Jan Vink (46) is Chief Information Officer at Boekhandels Groep Nederland (BGN) since June 2000. He has a background of business administration and more than 16 years experience in ICT. Before BGN he worked for more than 10 years for DHL (Deutsche Post) on several ICT management functions. At this moment he focuses on innovation of business processes by an optimal use of ICT within BGN. An example is the full implementation of RFID technology at the new selexyz-bookstore in Almere.

Jan Vink (46) is directeur ICT bij de Boekhandels Groep Nederland (BGN) sinds juni 2000. Hij heeft een bedrijfskundige achtergrond en ruim 16 jaar ervaring binnen de automatisering. Voor BGN was hij werkzaam bij DHL (Deutsche Post) in diverse (inter)nationale ICT-managementfuncties. Momenteel richt hij zich binnen BGN op innovatie van bedrijfsprocessen door optimale inzet van ICT. De volledige invoering van RFID-technologie binnen de nieuwe selexyz-boekwinkel in Almere is daar een goed voorbeeld van.
