Company Profile

At Container Centralen A/S (CC), our goal is to ensure that your logistics chain works as simply and as smoothly as possible. Our core skill is our ability to develop and maintain systems that integrate every link in the supply chain - from the manufacturer to the retailer, right to the consumer's shopping basket. CC has a leading position in equipment pooling systems within the European flower and plant industry. At the same time, we have become respected for the way in which CC has helped the European supply chain to run more smoothly. As well as the flower and plant industry, we serve many customers in the retail food industry, including a number of the biggest supermarket chains in Europe. The CC Pool System. CC uses a retail trade concept based on two principles: CC's well-acknowledged pool system with 1:1 exchange as well as products of standard dimensions. The CC pool system enables effective circulation - and a built-in insurance. Every participant within the system takes on just the number of units needed. And when the CC system is under way, full trolleys are simply exchanged for empty ones and vice versa. In principle no money is exchanged between the participants. We take care of trolley defects. The CC Units. CC's units have been developed to conform to known European standards. This is why CC units easily fit into automated handling systems. As consideration has been given to all aspects of the supply chain, right up to the point of display, we make it possible to set a whole new standard as to flexibility and control. This works all the way from manufacturer to the display point and can be varied throughout the day or week with minimum effort. - The major RFID pilots in Denmark, Holland and Germany we have been running over the last two years shows huge advantages in controlling and tracking RTIs and not least improvesd operational efficiency. Based on these experiences we are planning to put RFID tags on our 3.5 million flower containers in the European flower industry. - Beside this we have had pilots with major retailers in Europe to assess the value of using RFID to track dollies and crates in the supply chain. These pilots has lead to a cooperation between LOGIPACK and Container Centralen introducing the Floor Ready Packaging Concept in the beer industry in Germany. The concept is based on RFID tagged CC Euro Dollies.
