Speaker Biography

Mr. Tom Bradshaw is the Vice President of Operations at Wayne Memorial Hospital, located in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Mr. Bradshaw has been at Wayne Memorial for 8 years and has over 34 years of healthcare experience. He received his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy (West Point), and then served 6 years on active duty in the Army Medical Service Corps. He went on to earn his graduate degree in healthcare administration from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. Bradshaw is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has spoken on several occasions to national audiences interested in asset tracking using RFID / RTLS applications in the hospital setting.

Wayne Memorial Hospital is non-profit, community hospital located in Goldsboro, North Carolina, approximately 50 miles southeast of Raleigh, North Carolina. The hospital has a primary service area population of approximately 115,000. Licensed for 316 beds, the hospital staffs 245 beds and has an average daily census of 190 patients who are served by more than 1,400 employees. A medical staff of 125 members provides a broad range of primary and specialty care, including neurosurgery, vascular and general surgery, ENT, orthopedics, ophthalmology, OB-GYN, oncology, nephrology, and other medical specialties. The hospital has been using RFID / RTLS technology since November 2006.
