Biography
Steve Ludmerer, President, Parelec Inc., has over thirty years of expertise in building specialty chemical and materials businesses. For two decades at DuPont and Union Carbide's Specialty Chemicals, he launched such well-known products as Teflon?finishes for cookware, Reach?toothbrush, and Tychem?and Barricade?protective apparel. Mr. Ludmerer also headed two technology ventures, as President and CEO of Quantix, a diagnostics company, and as President of Top Source Petrochemicals in 1996.
 
In 1999, Mr. Ludmerer raised private capital to establish Parelec and was appointed its President. Over the last five years he has directed that company to its present leadership position providing highly conductive inks for a wide variety of electronics applications.
 
Mr. Ludmerer serves on the chemical industry's Board of the Commercial Development & Marketing Association and, in 2002, received the CDMA's "Golden C?career achievement award. Mr. Ludmerer holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and a M.B.A. from Drexel University.
Company Profile
Parelec develops and markets Parmod?VLT conductive inks for the electronics industry. Parmod?can be printed onto paper or polyester substrates in high volume circuit applications with three to ten times greater electrical conductivity than traditional polymer based metal inks. Parmod?inks provide solderable circuits when printed on high temperature substrates such as PEN or polyimide. Parmod?inks help create cost-effective, mass produced circuit components ranging from higher cost durable consumer devices, such as cellular phones, home electronics, appliances, automobiles and computers, to less expensive high volume disposable products, such as RFID smart labels, product identification tags, and intelligent packaging.
