Speaker Biography
Leslie Hand is the Director of Global RFID Strategy for Ahold. Ahold is a Dutch based company with businesses in the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, the Baltic States, Central Europe and the United States. Leslie is currently responsible for developing Ahold's RFID strategy. She engages business leaders and cross functional teams to identify short and long term process improvements that can be realized via RFID enabled technology improvements. One pilot is now underway in the US and several are underway in Europe. She also participates in EPCGlobal standardization workgroups. Leslie is also responsible for GDSN supplier on boarding and GDSN business support for Ahold USA. Leslie has spent the last 21 years of her career in retail Information Technology. Her primary goal has always been to deliver innovative solutions to the business that allow them to work smarter and more efficiently.
 
Leslie is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, class of 1982, where she played field hockey and track.
